Tide pools and more at Drumbeg Provincial Park

For kids, it’s all about the tide pools at Drumbeg Provincial Park. For others, it’s the oceanside hiking, beachcombing, swimming, the view and berry picking

This is the farthest Gabriola beach from the ferry terminal, but it has the best accessible tide pools we can find on the island if that’s what you’re after.

For kids, this beach is all about those pools. Walk on the water-worn rocks and peek in the cracks to find crabs, tiny fish and sea anemones. Its’ a young child’s discovery centre or for anyone who loves the ocean.

With oceanside walking trails all around Drumbeg Provincial Park, it’s easy to spend hours here. A few benches line the path as well as the lookout point around the corner. Sit for hours and watch the water, boaters, and sea life all around you.

If you like blackberries, head around the point and you’ll soon be in blackberry heaven during the late summer months.

Note: There are picnic tables here and pit-toilets. Bring your own water.
